MBE dedicated gas-liquid separator

MBE dedicated gas-liquid separator

The CRYO vacuum adiabatic gas-liquid separator provides high-quality low-pressure liquid nitrogen at the point of use. The liquid level self-control of the separator ensures constant liquid level and static pressure head. The purpose of the gas-liquid separator is to separate the flow of liquid nitrogen and gas nitrogen phases, and ultimately obtain single-phase or pure liquid. Under static pressure, LN2 flows through a vacuum pipeline, and the liquid is actually a mixture of gas and liquid. In some application equipment, this mixed liquid nitrogen is not used, so the gas-liquid separator is installed above the point of use. The gas-liquid separator has a vacuum jacket inlet connected to a pipeline. LN2 flows into the phase separator of the internal reservoir through a pneumatic valve. The liquid level is electronically controlled so that it does not rise to the top. The nitrogen gas in the headspace is continuously discharged into the atmosphere.

Principle

After the system is turned on, the liquid level sensor detects that the liquid level in the container is too low, which will generate an alarm.

After the system is turned on, if the liquid level is too low, the pneumatic valve for liquid inlet will automatically open. When the liquid level reaches the set value, the pneumatic valve for liquid inlet will be closed to stop the liquid inlet.

The liquid level is electronically controlled, and the high and low pressure pipes led out of the inner tank are connected to a differential pressure sensor for detection. The output signal is matched with the volume of the container through complex calculations by the controller system to calculate the liquid level, which is displayed in percentage lines.

After passing through the liquid inlet pneumatic valve, liquid nitrogen flows into the gas-liquid separator tank and separates gaseous and liquid nitrogen in a vertical manner. Pure liquid nitrogen sinks to the bottom of the tank, and the gas nitrogen is discharged outdoors through the exhaust pipe after generating a certain pressure.

The gas-liquid separator is a double-layer jacketed vacuum equipment. Except for the electrical control part, the shell and inner liner cannot be disassembled and separated.
